This morning, I woke up to a flat tyre on my car.

This morning, I woke up to a flat tyre on my car. Instead of being annoyed or pissed by it, I just turned it into a positive!!

I have been struggling to find time to fit cycling in, so I grabbed my bike, swapped my gym bag for a backpack, and headed to the gym! It really only took an extra couple of minutes!!

I felt so good afterwards that I cycled to work & back too! Although the distances weren't massive I've manged to clock up 6 miles of cycling today that I wouldn't have done if it wasn't for the flat at 6am!

I'm so happy with this that I'm doing the same tomorrow as well and hopefully for the rest of my training days!!

Also, I'm more than happy with the way I look in this picture, wobbly thighs and all!

2024 is the year of strong arms!! After 15 years

2024 is the year of strong arms!!

After 15 years of being a leg girlie 5 days a week and arms never, the tables have turned, and I'm obsessed with arms!!

After doing my first race last year, my biggest regret was skipping strength training for cardio hours!! Learning from that I have made sure to add 2/3 strengh training sessions into my week and after only a few weeks I'm seeing a massive improvement to my overall training and some positive changes to my body!!

I'm currently using the machines until I have built my weight size and confidence up around my arms! Then, I will be handing straight to the free weight section. Until then, I'm happy just seeing small gains!!

FYI, ignore my arms, I was laughing so much before the picture I let ho and grabbed the bars quickly!!

What an incredible weekend!! 🔥🏕🥾

I have spent the weekend helping out on a Beaver & Cub camp for my Scout group!!

Saturday, I taught 6-10 year olds soft archery for a total of 4.5 hours!

Today, I taught the Cubs how to bake a cake on a campfire!! (2 out of the 6 cakes went up in flames!!)

This was my first camp running activities. Luckily, we have a bunch of wonderful kids!!

Home now & I'm exhausted!!!

Mt. Everest is coming to the Lake District

I'm challenging myself to conquer the equivalent of Everest in the Lakes in 48 hours!!!

I am very proud (and a little bit terrified) to announce that I am an ambassador for @apex.officialuk and their Climb your Everest Challenge.

Over 48 hours, I will need to hike up & down Helvellyn more than 9 times to equal Mt. Everest height of 8848.86 m

I have some serious mountain training to do before September, I am scared and excited, worried my legs will never work again afterwards!!

Keep your eyes peeled for some serious mountain porn coming to my Insta!!!

Despite all my fancy training and nutrition plans

Despite all my fancy training and nutrition plans, at least once a week, those plans change!

And I am learning not to feel guilty about it!!

This morning, I had a swim & gym session booked in from 6.30am, I woke at 5am to walk Memphis and after a night of minimal sleep I decided to roll over and go back to sleep for another couple of hours!

Trying to train while maintaining a relationship, a home, friends, a full-time job, a puppy, and other hobbies is a logistical nightmare! I can't go to the gym until I have walked the dog, I can't be late for work.

However, I did wake up feeling guilty about missing a workout session, instead of beating myself up, I took Memphis for a walk, saw a poster for an aqua fit class which I could fit in before work (just, I had 15 mins to get out the pool, changed and to work, I did make it!)

FYI, I love Aqua Fit. It's easy on joints and fun and usually has a bangin playlist!!

Tomorrow (fingers crossed), I will be back in the gym, but today, I am more than happy with Aqua Fit & pizza for dinner!!!
