“Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savoured.” Earl Nightingale
If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!
Day 52
It is extremely rare that I get home from work before Alisa’s bedtime, in fact, I think this was only the second time this summer than I managed it. But I did and when I do I go straight to her house for some cuddles and playtime, my sister lives across from a park and Alisa loves the swings, I love that it is still super easy to please her, not looking forward to the terrible twos, might go on a year-long holidays starting May. I adore my job but there is so much I don’t want to miss out on, I don’t want Alisa thinking all I do is work and miss playtime with her. So once this challenge is over I will be making more of an effort to get home earlier.
Day 53
I decided it was time to introduce Alisa to my happiness, sugar! Turns out she loves the stuff as much as her aunty does! I took my sister and Alisa to my favourite little sugar heaven for the first time, Miss marmalades in Nantwich is the place I want to go to, to die! Or at least get sugared up daily.
“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.” – Unknown
Because we aren’t animals and are somewhat civilised we ate some proper food for diving into the good stuff! Literally, since becoming single my eating habits have become that of a 5-year-old! Everything must be able to be eaten with hands and there has to be dessert at the end!
Forever a berry girl!
The face of a kid who has just discovered sugar for the first time! By the time we walked from the cafe to the car she was flat out in the quickest sugar coma I have ever seen! Don’t worry though she didn’t have a lot we shared some of mine with her!
The face of an adult who has had her hourly sugar fix! Honestly, sugar is like crack, that shit will fuck you!
