I am Summer, come to lure you away from your computer come dance on my fresh grass, dig your toes into my beaches. – Oriana Green
If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!
So this picture has nothing to do with this post but I took it on day 33 and it is one of my favourite picture of Alisa isn’t she a total babe!
Day 33
My beautiful friend Aimee is constantly fighting an uphill struggle when it comes to me and my health. Aimee who can I just point out is my biggest fan is forever trying to get me to rest and worries endlessly about how much sleep I get not to mention what I am eating. She has now had to resolve into tricking me with my 80 days to make sure I get some nutrients in me.
For day 33 she suggested lunch at hers followed by ice cream and naturally all I heard was the words ice cream. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had homemade food, it has to be a good few months now, which yes does disgust me but for now its kind of the way my lifestyle is. It means the absolute world to me that I have friends who worry about how many greens I am getting in my current diet.
This woman is an absolute angel and a total babe. It is save to say I wouldn’t have survived the last year without her! Plus she always thinks ice cream is a good idea and that is the kind of support I need in my life!
Raspberry Pavlova & Clotted Cream is heaven and if anyone would like to send me a lifetime supply of either flavour I would forever be thankful! Toothless but thankful!!!
Peter says the funniest things!
Day 34
I am not going to lie, 34 days in and I am exhausted not mentally but physically. Currently, I am working 6 days a week, going to a new place every evening and sleeping for a maximum of five hours a night. Also for the last 34 days, I haven’t eaten at home once not even breakfast. So I thought I would treat myself to some food prep and although eating out every day may sound like heaven, believe me, it’s not. On top of eating out, I haven’t been able to exercise at all and won’t be able to unless I have less sleep. So as a treat to myself I stayed home and did some meal prep, god my jeans have been crying out for me to eat a salad. Not my usual adventure but something that needs to be done or I might not make it to the end of the 80 days!
Day 36
After what was another M6 closure of the year I had to find a new way home, luckily I have now had some practice at alternative Manchester routes! So for day 36, I decided to stop at Brereton lake on one of these routes home. For some reason, I was in a bit of a bad mood, yes even the happiest of people have bad moods! So I decided I needed to walk it off!
The lake itself is pretty small but the area is so peaceful and hidden away that it is hardly ever busy. I remember only seeing two other people this evening despite the sunshine. By far the best thing about this challenge is that I am always busy and off exploring new places or seeing old places in a new light.
After some deep breaths and a lot of angry walking whatever had been playing on my mind vanished and my frown turned itself upside down. 9 times out of 10 I usually don’t know what is wrong with me but I know whatever it is can be sorted by being in nature. I have to seriously learn how to process better in my head, chances are whatever had upset probably happened a good couple of weeks ago.
