80 DAYS OF SUMMER – DAYS 27-28

Summer: Hair gets lighter. Skin gets darker. Water gets warmer. Drinks get colder. Music gets louder. Nights get longer. Life gets better. Summer: Hair gets lighter. Skin gets darker. Water gets warmer. Drinks get colder. Music gets louder. Nights get longer. Life gets better.

If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!

Day 27;

I went for an evening walk with my brother around the streets of our dad’s house. Literally, don’t think I have done it since I was a teenager, we just walked the streets and chatted away in the sunshine. We eventually ended up at the park where we spent hours and hours every week as children. We went across the road and bought some sandwiches and fruit and enjoyed eating them in the park in the warmth of the evening. The time I get with my brother is super special to me, he is one of my closet friends so moments like this when its just the two of us means the world to me.

Day 28;

My life has been going at a 100 miles an hour lately and it is really important for me to every now and again slow it down and believe me for me that takes actual effort. I am so used to just keeping going that I really struggle to slow down and take a break. Even on holidays I am always going off to photograph or curled up somewhere writing that I have totally forgotton how to rest. Something that drives my friends crazy!

I have been gutted this last week that the sunshine seems to have dissapperead, I am off next week so please lets cross everything and pray that it comes back. Just before British summertime I ended I spent an evening at Lyme Dam with a big cup of coffee, a book and my feet dangling in the lake. There is nothing I love more than reading outside, for a good book I can block anything and everything out! Its also the only time I don’t look at my phone. I must have spent three hours just sat beside the lake reading. When it comes to heat I am such a cat, I just want to stretch out and roll around on the ground. Lyme Dam is pretty much in the middle of my commute home which is super handy. I feel so lucky that I don’t have other commitments I need to rush home for and that I am able to just go off and do my own thing.

Probably not the best book to read at a lake alone!
