If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!
There are no words for how beautiful Harlech Beach is, in fact, I would say it is the most beautiful beach in the UK and I have been to a lot. Just under 2 and a half hours drive from the house is the most golden softest sand I have ever felt. But even before you get to the beach the drive through Snowdonia is stunning. So it took a little longer than normal as we kept stopping to jump out and take pictures of the beautiful views.
When my friend Anna suggested having a beach trip I jumped at the chance! She suggested a beach she went to as a child and since I had never visited it, it seemed like as good a beach as any. I met Anna through Bumble BFF (a different Anna than the one a couple of days ago) she lives only a couple of minutes away from my house and we have discovered that we had a lot of the same friends throughout our teenage years, it wouldn’t surprise me if we had drunken toilet conversations during that time too.
I am pretty sure that all this challenge has done is encourage me to eat 80 ice creams! Is it even summer if you don’t gain 2 stone in ice cream weight, asking a friend!

At the moment I never want this summer to end I have been so lucky and been so many places that I couldn’t imagine stopping anytime soon, so everything crossed that the warm weather stays at least till the end of September.

Suns out, legs out!
I am well aware that over the past 12 months I have put a little weight on, about 8lbs. Although I have been in denial a little, something I can no longer be in after seeing pictures of myself in a swimsuit. At the same time, I am the most comfortable I have ever been in my own skin and part of me is digging having some curves and part of me is crying out to eat a god damn salad. This is for sure the first time in my life that I have been bottom heavy! If I start now I may have a summer body by summer 2019, right now I am not fussed about changing my shape like I said I am loving the curves I just wish the curves didn’t wobble so much!
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful Anna is!! I have by far the best group of friends now than I ever have in my whole life! I feel really lucky to have some amazing women in my life, I have never felt so loved and supported as I do right now! Anna is another friend I meet off Bumble BFF and already an incredibly positive force in my life, if nothing else came out of this year it would still have been an amazing year from just all the new friends I have made,
As normal I have taken at least 200 more pictures than needed and not been able to edit them done very well, so sorry but not sorry that there are way too many pictures to words ratio but honestly I couldn’t stop. The beach was perfect, the day was wonderful and I have lots of beautiful new memories. Go Wales!
Who wears black to the beach?

I don’t think I have ever swum so far out in the sea surrounding the UK, ever! But this water was heavenly, it was beautifully warm with the odd cool undercurrent. Now and again a jellyfish would swim by, I would freak out then soon forget again. A small price to pay for heaven although ever now and again I would start thinking about the film Jaws, then the tune would pop in my head and I would have to move closer back to the shore. Imagine a great white shark off the coast of Wales, probably never going to happen but if it did, it would happen to me for sure!
And I am pretty sure there is a screen in Jaws just like the above picture, just like it!!!

We spent the whole day creating amazing memories! Honestly, we could have been on any beach in the world. Up till now, Harlech beach has been my favourite thing to do during my 80 days of summer. I cannot wait to come back and explore more. I am going to try my hardest to visit a beach a week until the end of summer or fingers crossed until the sun disappears. I am super excited for some more adventures with Anna, especially if they involve swimming in the sea!

I have some time off at the end of this month and plan on spending as much time as possible at the beach, I can’t remember a summer as beautiful as this one and I am sure we won’t get another one for a few years again. so I plan on making the most of it while it lasts. And creating the happiest, love filled life possible. Pretty sure this blog post made no sense and had no flow but I guess that’s how life goes, so quick summary, get your butts over to Harlech beach its beautiful!
