80 DAYS OF SUMMER – DAYS 21-23

“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” – John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!

Day  21;

During my 40 new things in 40 days, I tried golf at a driving range although bloody awful at it I loved it. It was one of the 40 things I wanted to continue once the challenge ended. But then I started a new challenge then another one so trying to fit it in has been a bit tricky but after a bit of an intense day at work, a trip to the driving range seemed like a perfect realise. Nothing will realise tension better than smacking 100 balls! I am also trying my hardest not to spend any time indoors during the 80 days, I literally can’t remember the last time we had so many beautiful days in a row and I don’t want to waste any of them. Who knows by next summer I may even be good enough to play actual golf!

Day 22;

I am extremely blessed to say I love my job, however, there are a few late nights while I stay behind to catch up. However, I wouldn’t change it in the slightest but I am trying to do it less and less especially while trying to do the 80 days. But this was one of the nights I had to stay late, so instead of stressing myself out about going somewhere and getting back late I simply stopped on the way home at a park and ate my dinner picnic style. Due to rarely ever being home I never go food shopping, the only things in my fridge are a few bottles of water a bottle of champagne and a couple of bottles of vodka, all of which have been there since I moved in.  Certainly not the healthiest way to eat but at the moment the best for me as I never know when I will be home again. So other than 8 outfits and a gym back in my car. I also have a picnic set for such an occasion as this. To me summer should be about picnics and just do what you want, being more carefree.

Day 23:

The whole week turned out to be rather stressful with a midweek meltdown just to spice things up! By Wednesday evening I was ready for some friend time so I called my friend Aimee in the hope she could comfort me. I am a shocking friend, I have no idea how I even have friends. She suggested a walk in the sunshine with her and Olly. There is no way on earth you can be sad around Olly. I have been so lucky with doing this challenge that the weather has been so amazing, just being able to be outside in the evenings is doing wonders for my health. This is definitely one of those summers that will change everything!

You have no chance of being sad around this little cutie!
