” Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.” -John Lubbock
If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Like seriously where have you been! Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!
By some godly miracle, I woke up without a hangover! However, I also wake up in need of 30,000 calories luckily me and Amiee had just the thing planned! The North Leeds Food Festival was on only 30 minutes away, so really it would be rude not to stop! although not going to lie I would probs drive 5 hours for a food festival!
This challenge has been incredible so far I can’t believe all the wonderful things I have done, places I have visited and people I have met. It’s amazing how much not only has my life changed in the last four months but how much I have changed too. My challenges started as a way of me dealing with emotional pain and has now taken me in a whole different direction and not a day goes by when I am not thankful for it all.
Sauasgebox *inset childish giggles
Greek topped hot dog may have been the most perfect food ever! I could have eaten five of these, one after another although by mid-morning the late night had started to catch up with me and I just needed food!
Well Placed sausage! And hand to cover food baby!
“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.”–Ralph Waldo Emerson
Food baby is still hidden with my giant hand! Also, can we talk about this playsuit from Matalan a couple of weeks, only £7 and the most comfortable piece of clothing I own. Although I didn’t consider portaloos when picking my outfit for the day!
Honey on halloumi fries, what is this tasty witchcraft?
Utterly exhausted, hot and full to the point of bursting we decided to head home. The weekend was amazing! I felt relaxed, refreshed and now a little heavier! I somehow need to figure out how I can make this a monthly thing but maybe with a few less calories and a little more sleep.
“Close friends are truly life’s treasures. Sometimes they know us better than we know ourselves. With gentle honesty, they are there to guide and support us, to share our laughter and our tears. Their presence reminds us that we are never really alone.-” Vincent van Gogh
