80 DAYS OF SUMMER – DAY 7

If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!

I am a little behind on blog posts at the moment but promise I am catching up very slowly as I write this I am actually on day 15, the time is absolutely flying!  The challenge is incredible I have already done so many wonderful things and my friendships are really blooming. I was already a complete fan of the fact that positivity breeds positivity but I never imagined just how much that could affect your life. I have always been very lucky that materials things have never been my goal in life, I’ve always picked travel and experiences over actual things and right now I feel like I am living an actual dream. If this feeling continues throughout the 80 days you will be pulling me back down from the clouds.

So for day 7, I thought I would take myself out on a little date! So I woke super early and decided to walk into town (I was staying at the top of the hill, so bus back up the hill, I am not crazy!!)

Every date should start with chocolate cake, in fact it should be the law, still early and free from tourists I was able to enjoy cake and coffee sat infront of Bath Abbey in peace. Bath is filled with so many tour groups of tourists that one minutes you are alone and the next you are surrounded by 100 tourists all with selfie sticks ready to knock you out of the way for that perfect shot! So believe me, this time alone was utterly perfect!

One of my favouriate things in Britian is how cities and towns find uses for old phone boxes, I would hate to imagine a time when they dissappear from our streets so I am a massive fan of them being recycled. In bath the are used as plant pots and how pretty do they look in there floral get up!

Because I am a massive nature geek and a happy little owner of a national trust membership I thought I would visit some new National Trust sites while I was in a different area! First on the list was Prior Park Landscape Garden with its beautiful views over the city!

The geeky stuff!

One of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world can be crossed at Prior Park, which was created in the 18th century by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen, with advice from ‘Capability’ Brown and the poet Alexander Pope.

The garden is set in a sweeping valley where visitors can enjoy magnificent views of Bath. Restoration of the ‘Wilderness’ has reinstated the Serpentine Lake, Cascade, and Cabinet.

A five-minute walk leads to the Bath Skyline, a six-mile circular route encompassing beautiful woodlands and meadows, an Iron Age hill fort, Roman settlements, 18th-century follies and spectacular views.

Unfortunately, you can not go in the house I am pretty sure I saw a sign saying that it is now a boarding school! FYI my school looked nothing like this, imagine getting to go to classes in this beauty, although I bet its freezing in the winter.

Baths pretty skyline! minus beautiful blue skies!

If you see a swing in the woods and you don’t have a go are you really winning at life? I am definitely a winner I must have swung for a good twenty minutes. By far the best bit about being an adult is pretending to be a child! Why did we want to go up so fast again, paying bills sucks along with cleaning the toilet, going to work and vacuuming!

I was hoping for pretty blue skies so I could take some beautiful pictures however the blue skies didn’t appear until I was back in the city, typical. But still, an impressive sight to behold.

Eventually, I walked back down the hill into the city, along a very pretty road indeed. Sometimes it’s absolutely lovely to just be able to walk without having to be anywhere at a certain time and even more so when you don’t mind where you end up! I literally just walked in a rough direction and if I got lost I would be able to figure it out. Luckily I didn’t get lost because honestly, my idea of figuring out would have been googling for a taxi to come find me.

Easily could have been a house in the south of France with its own vineyard.
