“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.”

—Jenny Han, The Summer I Turned Pretty

If you have no idea what 80 days of summer is all about, then where have you been!? Don’t worry you can catch up here. But basically for 80 days, I am going to make sure I do something every single day that makes the most of summer, some things will be new some won’t. This challenge is to show that life is really made for living, no excuses, no wasting days! Just happiness every single day!

Ok, so this challenge might already be my favourite one yet! I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be in a position, where creating my happy little world is my number one priority. And although I am not doing anything that most people would class as world-changing. I am creating my perfect life which surely is at least world changing for me! So many people are waiting for the weekend, summer, new job, next car that they forget how to be happy Monday-Friday! How can you forget or rule out that time because of work commitments, espically when it is the biggest proportion of your entire life! That one sentence is pretty scary right! Yes, we all have to work, yes most of us work long hours, myself included in that! But no that doesn’t mean we just dismiss it as life. We just have to manage our time better. After all, if you are off having adventures there won’t be as much cleaning to do!

So for day 6, I went on a little adventure to Bath, I plan on spending the rest of 2018 exploring the UK and ticking everything UK based off my bucket list regardless of how big or small. Because what’s the point of having a bucket list if all you ever do is add to it? Bath is somewhere I have wanted to stay for a good while now, so I booked an Airbnb, spoke to some locals on Instagram and jumped in the car to go meet them! The perfect adventure to make the most of summer. My first point, I had NO IDEA that Somerset was so hilly, I mean really, I am used to the Cheshire plains with the occasional slight incline. Although during the trip I mastered the hill start and worked on toning my calves. Entering Bath it wasn’t hard to see why so many people visit Bath, at first glance, it is a stunning City, but I am partial to beautiful architecture so I may be slightly biased.

I had every good intention of making a plan of everywhere I wanted to visit and do, unfortunately, I never got round to actually making the plan, instead, Monday morning rolled around and I had to wing it! Now I already made plans to meet someone (you will find out more on tomorrows post) but they were my only plans. This left me the morning able to explore/get lost around Bath! Can I also just point out AGAIN that I had no idea whatsoever that Bath was hilly! That my friends was a big shock!

How bloody beautiful is this!! It was such a warm day, I had a massive grin on my face and the world just felt like a magical place to be. Most of the time I think myself so lucky to be able to see the world the way I do, I have no idea how people walk around with a glass half filled attitude. The world is so beautiful and there is so much goodness and happiness all around us, every single day!

Some of the side streets reminded me of my trips to Paris, the beautiful colours of the stone, cobbled streets and lines of tables and chairs outside small cafes. And Paris is a very hard city to copy! I mean really how beautiful is this street alone, I strolled along coffee in one hand and camera in the other with the biggest grin on my face, I love visiting places for the first time, everything just seems so magical and shiny!

If you are yet to visit Bath, I would highly recommend visiting the big tourist attractions such as the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey either first thing or towards the end of the day because Bath gets really busy, really quick. Also, expect to queue during the busy periods as there appears to be a never-ending drop off of coach trips. Not that this is any different than anywhere else but Bath is a small city so it is much more noticeable.

I am not sure if you can say what I am about to say in regards to Jesus’s crib, but Bath Abbey is a much more of an impressive building from the outside. Although not religious I do love a good church, the stained glass, the beautiful carvings and the endless height usually make churches masterpieces.

This was just my first morning in Bath and as you can imagine I took far too pictures to create just one blog post so brace yourself for a few Bath blog posts over the next week! I promise I will get working on learning how to edit down some of my pictures until then I plan on continuing to flood the internet with my pictures.
