Since I arrived in North Carolina I have had my heart set on visiting the Indian reservation Cherokee, although it is beautiful I was slightly disappointed with how touristy it was.
The area is truly beautiful, with lots of hiking and biking trails. I tried my hardest to stay away from tourists and the dozens of shops all selling exactly the same goods.
Like Hendersonville the area is filled with pretty painted bears, sadly they were one of my favourite parts of the day.
If you find yourself in the area Cherokee is a beautiful town to visit just make sure you have plenty of money and expect slightly more people than the surrounding towns.
