I woke up ready to fill my lungs with fresh mountain air and luckily for me I am staying on a mountain. Jen suggested we head on over to DuPont state forest, as she wanted me to see the waterfalls, believe me as soon as the word waterfalls was mentioned I was sat in the car ready to go.
The picture truly does not give the landscape justice, the shear scale alone is breathtaking. Add into it the beautiful blue sky, the pretty shades of green and the lovely sounds of birds singing in the tree tops and you find yourself walking into a picture perfect postcard.
The light here in North Carolina, constantly changes throughout the day and is always extremely pretty, imagine being followed around with a giant soft box, I have to admit I have taken some shameless selfies with this beautiful lighting.
How pretty is this flower, unfortunately I am not sure what kind of flower it is. If you have better flower/plant knowledge than me, please leave a comment so I can fill my home with them. I am already planning to visit in the spring time to experience the forest alive with pretty blossoms.
